Abstract
Pathological findings from focal liver lesions, which were suggested to be adenomatous hyperplasia (AH) by MRI, were reviewed after fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB).
FNAB were performed from four cases of focal liver lesion, which showed high signal intensity on TlWl, and low signal intensity on T2Wl of MRI. FNAB were performed with the guidance of ultrasound in three cases, and CT in one case. Pathological
reports
were liver cirrhosis (n=1), AH (n=2) and atypical adenomatous hyperplasia (AAH) (n=1).
Even though adenomatous hyperplasia is suggested by MRI, a series of pathological diagnosis are possible after FNAB, depending on the progressive stage of the nodule and the biopsy site within the nodular lesion.
